I'd like to go to Moab this year, but I'm gunna avoid Easter Safari at all costs. I was talking to my neighbor about it and he told me he went once, hated it and he makes it out every year the weekend after. Say's it isnt as crazy then.

Yeah, definately dont go during easter jeep safari. My dentist went to it one year and said all he did was hurry up and wait... hurry up to the next obstacle, wait for the 50 jeeps in front of you to make it through, then hurry up to the next one... also said the town was so crowded there was no parking anywhere and wasn't fun. Go on an off-weekend, you'll enjoy it a lot more.

I just got back from Moab last week. We left on the first day of EJS. I would definately recommend staying home. You generally need hotel or camping reservations months in advance because everything fills up fast. Our campground was full the weekend before and its 10 miles out side of Moab. It is just too packed, too hard to get around town, too busy on the trails, and too many people. I watched gas jump 10 cents the day before EJS. I know its fun to watch people break stuff being stupid. If you really want to go that bad, plan a trip next year.

I love going down during the RodBenders Car Show. Great show (a few years ago when we showed my dads classics, there was 800 entries... on a rainy crappy weekend. Didn't stop a one from what I saw).

im not worried about it being to crowded ae are just goin to camp in some parking lot I have a few friends leaving tonight to go snag a spot somewhere but im pretty excited. My buddy just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.2L and a 6.5 rubicon lift on it with some 33 mud terrains on it so were goin to go test it out this weekend.

No, we were north of town at the ArchView campground. Not a bad campground to use. The spaces were cramped, but they had clean showers and bathrooms, a nice general store, overflow parking for extra rigs, cabins, RV hookups and a gas station we used everymorning. It was 10-15 minutes from all the major trails.

We did pass by the campgrounds at Lions Back. They are definately closed. It sucks. I wanted to say that I ran it.

That sucks. Lions back was a little scary but not as scary as everyone made it out to be. Aside from the sheer drop-off it was no more difficult than most of the moderate trails out there.
