Moab was a good time. We had 6 rigs total. 1 Jeep, 2 yota trucks, 1 4runner, 1 Exploder, and my Ranger. The first day was fairly easy, we ran Hey Joe Canyon which has an old uranium mine at the end of it. Cool trail. The second day was long to say the least. Poison Spider Mesa, Golden Spike and Gold Bar Rim. We started at 9:00am and didn't get back to camp until 12:30am. The sun set about the time we were crossing golden crack. There was minimal carnage. One shackle hanger had to be welded back on and one flop recovery after dark. Trying to navigate Gold Bar Rim in the dark sorta sucked trying to find the trail. Lots of wandering around with flashlights. Wednesday our group spilt up. The Ford guys ran Fins N Things and then headed off to the Canyonlands. The rest of the group ran Hells Revenge. If anyone has not heard of the White Rim trail, you should check it out. It is 100 miles long, takes at least two days to complete, but you get to see the CanyonLands from the Canyon. I would recommend this trail. We ran a small portion of it. I plan on running the whole thing on the return trip. Anyway here are the pics.

Outstanding pics! I would love to do White rim trail as well... it looks and sounds like you got through without any carnage. I can't wait till I go in May :) . I haven't done fins n' things yet and just for kicks that is my goal this trip.

Nice!
Looks like it was a little wet. I rode the Poison Spider/Golden crack trail on a dirtbike last year and it took all day, did you get to see the cool overlook at the top near the "crack". Also, did you have fun at the ledge not far from there? There was broken u-joints and all kinds of stuff there.

Well about the time we hit golden crack, we were hauling. The sun was going down fast. I know that Double Whammy was some time after the crack, but we didn't know which obstacle it was because we couldn't see anything.
A side note: My buddy Grif and I are cruising down the backside of Vail pass when a Toyota truck pulls up along side me and I see Jason hanging out of the window waving. Then we bumped into him again when we stopped in Dillion for some food. Turns out he was in Moab with his friend kayaking. Go figure.

I'm glad you guys had a great time out there. Hopefully, next time, I won't get screwed out of vacation time

Keep me posted if you head out that way in the fall. I didn't do Hells Revenge this time around, so I would like to hit it next time. Now that I have been out there and have a better feel for the area I'm looking into building an off-road camper to tow behind the ranger for multi-day trips. (Like White Rim Trail in the Canyonlands) Moab is a very seneic area. I didn't think too much of the town itself. The camping area we stayed at was pretty good. The spaces were too close together, but they had a pool, free Wi-Fi, a gas station, a general store and cabins, so there wasn't much reason to head to town.
Here are some flex shots that I like:

Nice pics, makes me want to haul the BII out there and run a couple of trails. Maybe next year once I get a trailer and a D35!

Looks like a good time :). I havent been out to Moab in years, its definately a blast though. I learned my lesson the first time I went though... maybe I'm just getting old... but I tried camping the first time... The nice soft bed and decent shower is definately worth the bucks you spend for it while there :).
