changing trannies

i have a 88 150 c-6 , thinking about putting a e4od in it for the overdrive, anyone know what process i would have to go through, changes, would it bolt up, shorter drivshaft???:confused:

Unfortunately, you'd need the wire harness & ECU for that trans to operate properly.

They're not as strong as an E4OD but if you could use an early AOD trans.

If all else fails.........you could get an overdrive (http://high-impact.net/transmission_and_gear/overdrive_conversions.htm) unit but they're pricey.
