Chris and his/our friend Randy competed int eh Muddy Buddy at the Boulder Reservoir over the weekend, 6 miles, trading off running/biking, followed by a mud pit at the end.
He completed it and almost beat an hour time!
Here's some pics (they don't seem to be working right now, apparently my mattstruck.com site isn't responding very quickly, but check back!):
Chris as he passed us on his bike, nearing the finish line:

And this picture which I would like to title "massive assplosion". The good part about the mud was you could shart in your pants and literally, no one would notice.

Oh no - just what everyone wants to see - my mud-covered butt! LOL. Thanks to Matt and Courtney for cheering us on Sunday, it was a really fun event. Randy and I figured we'd come in around 1 hour, 30 minutes but actually managed 1 hour, 2 minutes - not too bad considering the "elite" (people in good shape! lol) winners ran the race in about 40 minutes.

Anyway, it's time to put something on the record! :D Matt expressed some interest in doing this event next year - he just needs a teammate. You heard it here first! Actually it would be pretty cool if we could get a few RMFTC teams to compete...

Finally, this shot proves that I actually DID pass some people! :P (Yeah, so what if they're running and I'm on a bike... LOL)

That's ok, Cory was full of insults today at work. He's got few coming tomorrow. Earlier today he told me he would like to see what type of an effect gravity would have on me trying to do a jumping jack.

To be honest, I almost didn't look at this thread. What kind of a name is "Muddy Buddies". I would volunteer to participate ONLY if there is a name change. Good job on the time Chris. Looks like you had fun!!

Tray - you weren't supposed to let Jeff know that his sheep are cheating on him!!! Those little sluts... :P:D

As for the name of the race, I agree it may sound a bit...uhm...well...yeah. But once you get past that, it's still a challenging, fun way to spend a morning! And really, you do get muddy. Just be glad it's not a pit of fudge you crawl through at the end 'cause "Fudge Buddies" would be faaar worse...
