Where can I find a set of shorty headers or torque tubes that would fit a 1980 bronco with a 400m.

try these guys
Sanderson Headers Custom Built Headers (http://www.sandersonheaders.com/custombuiltheaders.htm)
you can buy custom made sets from these guys I have a set for my 460 in my 64 they actually make, the way they do it is you either buy a set made already, or you can take the information from their website and send it in and they will build you a set, the ones i have are ceramic coated and look awesome. Hope this helps

Thanks ill give them a call or mail, did you notice any gain in torque. Family members live and camp on the eastern slope so I pull a boat or tailer at least twice a year. kindof tired of traveling at 45mph over the passes.

the engine they were put on was fresh rebuilt 460 never driven by me before I bought it andp ut in the 64 after tearing out a busted up 223 inline 6 which I never drove either, only made a few passes around garage after getting it to run, they sound great and look awesome. I also have a 400m in my 78 does yours have the 2 bbl intake still? should be pretty tourquey down at low RPMs if your towing a trailor with that 2bbl and want some more highway power you prob make most gains with a 4 bbl intake and carb upgrade

Its a 400, not a 400m.
Sanderson is your best bet for shorties, but why do you want to go with shorty headers instead of full length? Youd benefit alot more across a broader range of RPM if you went with full lengths.
Unless you rebuild your engine, and change your gear ratio in the diffs, youll be going 45 MPH over the passes. Growing up in Clear creek County, pulling the eisenhour grade, vail pass grade, and US6 Loveland pass, i can tell you there is no intake, carb, head job, or headers are gonna help you pull the passes.
You could always build a 400 like mine. i can pull my chevelle on the trailer up floyd hill, from georgetown to the tunnel, and up 285 at anywhere from 60-80 depending on how big a hurry i am in.

It is a brand new 400 with an rv cam from spokane Wa. edelbrock performer 4bbl carb set up, incresed the speed up to 45-55 from 40 going up by itself, any ideas about keeping it at 55- 60 would be greatly apprecaited.
