It still probably won't take place for quite a while, but just thinking about doing our first shirt run in a few months... The cafepress shirts aren't; very good quality and the design is too smallt o really be used. I'm confident we could get them done for around $10 a shirt though, depending on the quantity ordered. Might wait a bit and see how growing the site goes... :)

that one place we went to seemed to be good... lots of color choices and if you decide to just do a black print and a white print then you could have your choice on colors... i like that:) what were you thinking about them?

Matt,
Have you looked into a local t-shirt shop? I'd be willing to pay a little extra for a good quality tee over the Cafepress crap. I know local shops do a minimum run so you should see how many are interested. Sign me up for 2 if you do a dark blue tee with white lettering. Also, do you have a design in mind or just the RMFTC logo. I could whip up some ideas if you are interested.

Could we get beach towels made? My shirts are equivalent to a beach towel size.

Jeff, there is a shirt store across the street from my apartment. They carry up to 5x in most colors, 6x in some others. They also do mugs, water bottles, mousepads, all that crap but unlike cafepress, minimum orders apply for all products.
I was thinking of probably just sticking with the logo but I'm open to suggestions. For the FTW shirts we had 5 members trucks on it, but I dont want to use the same design for these shirts, wouldn't be the same. but if someone wants to design something, I'm always up to see it!
Bluoval, I agree, the cafepress shirts are crap, thats why I recommended people not buy them and wait until we could get our own run going. Cheaper and MUCH better.

I'll draw something up and shoot you an email with a couple different ideas I have. Not to say that your logo is bad, I just like to play on the computer.

Sounds good. The main logo for the site probably won't be changed, as its already on stickers, business cards, etc. but I'm always up for something "extra" for the shirts. Play, have fun! :).

By the way, what I had done for my FTW shirts was I had the same logo in one solid color, and I had a run of shirts done with white ink and a run of them done with black ink, so really, whatever color shirt you wanted, it could be printed on and wouldn't look weird.
Since Jeff wants his made up as a beach towel, I figured he could have a slightly modified design as well.

For anyone interested, in the next few days I will be ordering myself some polo shirts with the RMFTC.COM Logo embroidered on them, for the SEMA Show (I need some logo apparel that matches the company I registered with and don't want ot wear the Ford Truck World shirts from last year!). Let me know if you are interested. They probably won't be cheap, because of the low quantity, looking about $30/shirt but they should be pretty professional and good quality, no screenprinting here... :)

I ordered a few embroidered shirts today, what can I say I like the logo LOL. i got about 4 polo shirts (plus one for Chris), a few t-shirts, and a lightweight jacket. The prices are actually pretty reasonable. There was a one-time $38 fee to set up the embroidery, but the shirts about about $9 a piece for the hanes heavyweight 50/50, and the polo shirts were about $20. The jacket I got was about $38.
If anyone is interested in anything, let me know and I can do small quantity orders or large quantity or whatever. The more quantity is ordered, the less it costs! :)
