Alarm horn sounds like a 1/2 dead duck

When I set the factory keyless entry alarm the light flash and the horn will make a pathetically lame honk. Other then that the horn functions normally. N E body have similar problems.

Thats funny, I used to compare my horn to someone stepping on a sick duck. LOL. I upgraded to electric trumpet-type horns, and it still wasn't that great, so I upgraded to PIAA electric horns. night and day.

Has the sound changed recently? Sometimes mine will get water or mud in the horn and this muffles the sound.

Since your horn functions normally otherwise, I would guess that the pulse of electricity sent to the horn is not enough to fully power it up. There could be too much resistance along its path such as a bad connection but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless the horn doesn't function as it should when the alarm is "going off".
