DANA 44 front axle, off of a '76 3/4 ton Ford, 4:10 gearing, has leaf springs, hubs, and brake assemblies

was $300 obo, NOW $250!! obo

Where were you when I wanted to do my solid axle swap on my explorer 3 years ago? LOL. Thats an awesome axle, if you get no hits here, try explorer4x4.com, lots of poeple looking for that axle there, though you might have to ship it.

Got one already... Just working on getting the Radius Arms, Springs, Track bar and stearing system.

I have a D44 High Pinion fromt a 78 F250... :D

It has disc brakes, and I'll go over in the morning to measure the width. BTW, the measurement will be from one wheel mounting face to the other, just so you know.

How hard do you think it would be to change the leafs for coils? Impossible? I don't know, I'm just trying to figure out what to do w/ my explorer.

That would be pretty hard to do, alot of brackets, fabbing, welding...riggin it up.

Rino, get with rpenner, hes working on a solid axle for his explorer I believe. As far as a solid axle with coil... also, check out Rick from explorer4x4's beast, hes got a d44 up front.
