Anyway I'll be in ID on Friday night, we're unloading on Saturday morning!!! Then its back to work on Tuesday...

If you hurry up and drive real fast, you just may be the first non-Colorado member.

Good luck with the change of scenery, and try to enjoy your sleep for the next couple of weeks, because once the kid arrives later in June you won't sleep for the next 18 years.

Going to miss having your big crotchety ass around too. ;) I hope that Idaho at least affords you a good place to bring your son into the world. If I know you, making new friends won't be a problem and being less than an hour from Yellowstone National Park can't be all bad! We'll have to plan some wheeling (or at least riding for me if I get an Escape! ;)) trips in the very near future...

How was the move this weekend. Everything go as planned?

I was just about to put up a post about it, because heath probably won't have internet access for a few days.
Basically, the move wen tterrible, nothing went as planned. The truck that Heath had reserved from Budget they somehow "lost the reservation" so fo ra while there we were thinking we weren't going to have a truck at all... finally after everyone calling a few dozen places they finally got an old Ryder truck that we could load everything in to... they couldn't find a tow dolly for the Honda though, so its still sitting here at the complex. I need to get it over to my parents house at some point so it doesn't get towed away.
so things got packed into the truck Thursday night and when we were nearing completion, I went over to my parents house ot pick up a sleeping bag and upon returning to Heaths felt a very noticeable grinding when braking. Seeing as how the buiclk was oging to be driving over a thousand miles round trip and all, decided to try to go ahead and fix it so starting at 8:30 until about 10:30 that night, I was doing a brake job on the Park Avenue that consisted of a caliper, rotor, and pads. The caliper had gone bad, forcing it to "stay stuck" and it had worn down one pad completely and because I hadn't noticed it right away, the pad had started grinding into the rotor. About $200 and 2 messy hours later, we were done. Apparently whoever had done the brake job last had super-glued the bolts in or something, LOL. While I was wokring on the brakes everyone else was doing some last minute packing but the truck was 99.9% loaded so that was good.
We decided to go to Chilis for some post-packing dinner, and of course the service was slow, they screwed up heaths order (it was his birthday even!) and he didn't eat anything... so we left unhappy and tired...
slept a few hours, got up fairly early, heath and his dad took off in the truck/explorer and Chris, Tara, Courtney and I worked on cleaning the apartment so at least thehy might get SOME of their deposit back. Long story short, it's a whole lot cleaner then before, but its still a mess, LOL.
After a LONG drive with three dogs in my car we got to his buddy jons house where we spent the night. Maggie barked at cows. It was cute.
Made it to Idaho Falls, only to find out that the townhome they had agreed to lease didn't even have carpet installed, and the appliances were just sitting out and it was filthy. It wasn't even near completion. Just one more obstacle! They had another one that was available, but after a bit of driving and calling around Heath and John (Heaths friend) found another duplex that would work fine, so we got there about noon or one or so, and started unpacking. We were probably wrapping up by 5 or 6, with nothing seriously broken :). Taras desk definately wasn't going where they wanted it because of how wide and tall it was, bt we got it in the house, Heath got the Ryder truck returned, all is well. They've even got a nice little backyard where the dogs could play for a while without running away, its got a nic eupstairs and downstairs.
Next morning we found out that the IHOP in Idaho Falls pretty much sucks, one of the worst IHOP breakfasts I've ever had but ti was still ok. LOL. Then we drove back with me, Courtney, Chris and maggie in the car andd got back about 8:30 last night.
One of the longest day or two in history, I believe! :)

Sounds like a trip that will not easily be forgotten. I had a similar experience moving a girlfriend from Austin to Denver about 12 years ago.

The trip will definitely not be easily forgotten, but all things considered, it was a success and even somewhat fun (for me). My biggest fear was that Tara's baby might decide to "come on out and say hello" during the trip, lol! As Matt said, it'll be awhile before Heath's back on-line, but once he is I'm sure the Idaho branch?/affiliate?/offshoot? ("Chapter" is sooo FTW, lol) will be quickly ready to go... :D

it'll be good ot have you around again Heath... I was starting to miss you :).
Two days ago I tried starting Heaths car, figured I'd go ahead and take it over to my parents house (for those that weren't there, Heath couldn't get the tow dolly for his Honda, so I was asked to park it at my parents house who said they wouldn't mind)... so anyways, the battery was completely dead, not even any interior lights... so figured I'd jump start it when I had a chance to... then yesterday was walking Maggie and saw a sticker on the window saying it had expired tags and would be towed the 3rd (today)... so I wen tover and jump started it and drove it to my parents...
