I have a set of four tires that are located near Boulder, Colorado, that need to find their way home to Littleton. I have no truck to do this with since my dad is using it and will be gone for about two weeks. Not sure how long my employer will let me keep them in my cubicle, LOL.
(I LOVE the smell of tires, I could keep em here for months for all I care, LOL)

They won't fit in that boat of a Buick? Come on now Matt. LOL...

LOL nope won't fit. I don't think even one will fit.
By the way, I'll cover gas there and back for anyone that will take on the favor...

I'll do it if you can wait until the weekend.

Just guessing that you won't want to do it outside my work hours (6a-11p)

the weekend might work, if no one else can do it. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone, drive down with tires, drive back with hood. LOL.

I don't mind doing it during the week, but I don't get off in Commerce City out by Stapleton until about 6pm. If I can pick them up around 7pm I can do it. What time do you go to work in the morning? Maybe I could stop by in the morning, pick them up and then drop them off after work.

I get to work around 6:30 in the morning and I'm here until 4, then I usually get home about 5-5:30 or so. That'd be cool if you could do that, otherwise I can just wait I think... my boss apparently has no problem with me storing tires in my cube... though it would be good to get em home so I dont have to worry about one of my wheeling co-workers snaking them. LOL!

How about I meet you at 6:30 tomorrow morning, that way I'll have enough time to get to work by 8:00. Then I'll drop them off tomorrow night after I finish at work.

Sweet. You da man!
The address where I work is 246 S Taylor Ave... basically you take 36 to the interlocken exit (also called 96th, and I think its also a NW Parkway exchange), you'll see a sign that says "last exit before tollway", be sure to take that exit, its a stoplight you'll take a left at. Then you go to the next intersection, which is under construction. That's Dillon Rd. Take a right there. You go past the train tracks, and take a left at your first left, its Pierce Street but the big sign says "Colorado Tecnology Center". Take your first right, which should be Taylor Ave. Follow that around the curve and straight for a while. Go through an intersection, and about 10 buildings down is 246, its on the right, and I believe the sign says Breece Hill. Look for my Buick and call me when you get near there, 303-868-8265. The building is locked before 8 so I'll have to bring the tires out...

Sure your not gonna swipe em on me? LOL j/k.

Well since I got high centered while camping, I was thinking maybe try out some bigger tires.

mattadams

Orrrrrrr, you can take Wadsworth North to Dillon Rd (Just after NW Pkwy), and follow it to the fake tech center.

Jeff & Matt, if it would be easier for you gUys, I could transport those tires. I have such a demanding schedule that I could try to squeeze it in between Oprah and Dyas of Our Lives. LOL... Let me know.

mattadams
08-16-2004, 05:11 PM
LOL I'm fine either way... If that'd make it easier on Jeff, I'm cool with that...

Walking Eagle

Wait a minute, Cory shares the sheep with you? I thought he was married or something.

Walking Eagle
08-18-2004, 10:01 AM
He is married, I'm just using his driveway to hide the truck. My sheep only sleeps with me.

Walking Eagle

Depending on when you bring the tires by, I might not be able to be there to meet you... I'm picking up Courtney at the airport today, her flight was supposed to be in at 4:00 this afternoon but the plane had some problems and it isn't supposed to land until 6:30 or so... but call me when your on your way and I"ll make sure my parents know you are coming... and I'll owe you some dough, I was going to pay you tonight but that was planning on the plane being there at the right time...

Walking Eagle
08-18-2004, 03:18 PM
I guess I better hide the sheep.

mattadams
08-18-2004, 03:20 PM
well you don't even half to talk to them or anything, just toss em on the side of the house or something away from view, I'll find a place fo rhtem when I get over there after picking up courtney... depending on when you get over there, that is.

Tray
08-18-2004, 03:27 PM
You can just toss them in the back of the gray supercrew that will be parked there.

Walking Eagle
08-18-2004, 03:28 PM
Alright then.

mattadams
08-19-2004, 07:55 AM
The tires are now safely inside my parents garage (albeit full of water, thanks mother nature! LOL) I should take a pic of my "side" of the garage, its got a rollbar, nerfbars, various truck interior pieces, lift kit, tires, toolbox, etc. and it is packed full! Man I can't wait til this project is over with! LOL.

Walking Eagle

I was curious to know what the final cost was for tires, shipping, and to have them installed? Who will install them for you? I was looking at the tires and they looked like they were in great shape. I may go this route in the future.

mattadams
08-19-2004, 05:22 PM
The final cost of tires and shipping was $625. 4-wheel parts will probably mount them for me when there doing my lift and stuff.

Walking Eagle
08-19-2004, 05:26 PM
That's much cheaper than I paid at Discount Tires. Next time around seriously going to conside going you route.

mattadams
08-19-2004, 08:49 PM
Yeah... the size tire I got comes stock on an H2 so of course tons of people unload them for cheap because they drive it straight from the lot to the bling-bling shop. Usually they come with wheels too but this guy sold the wheels seperately, lucky for me.
By the way, i would guess each tire had about 2 gallons of water in it. I didn't have time last night but today I went over with the wet dry vac, man is that an awesome invention!
