My uncle has a 2002 Ranger and wants to unlock the front hubs. Is there any way to do that? Does anyone know if someone makes hubs for it?
Thanks for any help.

I believe they are automatic hubs and in a vacuum assisted system... at least if its similiar to my 00 F-150.

Oh... So are they Kirby, or those new snazzy Dyson ones? :)
So, does that mean he couldn't put on a set of manual hubs?

That is correct, no manual hubs available... at least if its like the explorers and f-150's, which I assume it is :).

Ok, thanks.
Just a thought, thats probably way out in there. On the Explorer forum they talk about the "Brown wire" mod to release the front end. Would that work for the Rangers too? Its been a while since I've seen the post, so I'm not sure if it would even apply here. Just wondering.
Thanks.

PM Warrlord, if anyone would know it would be him. I do know, like Matt said, since they went to the torsion bar front end, there are no longer hubs on them. He could straight axle it with a Dana 44 and get hubs and better tire life....LOL
