Well everyone, I asked a million ?s on this and got a millions different answers.......Seems the only one concensus was to go with the EDGE lift kit....Tried that, no one locally sells them, and no one locally would install one I ordered online............So here is what I came up with... Thoughts/Suggestions/Opinions.. am I missing anything..........
Looking at:
ProComp 4" lift
ES9000 Shocks/ Dual Front
Steering Stab/shock kit
Truspeed
Billet Grill, not bolt on, but the cut out of old one type
4 35" procomp AT tires
Trac Bars
INSTALLED

My honest opinion, if you have the money to buy an edge, but would be more comfortable buying local, spend a few more dollars and get a better lift than the pro comp. I don't have any personal experience with them, but I have never heard anything good about their Super Duty lifts. I haven't necisarily heard of parts breaking but that they ride so harsh it'll knock your fillings out. I've seen Fab-tech as a dealer installed option, and a guy I used to work with loved the Superlift, both of which are available from 4wheel parts.

For all the above I am looking at $3100.00.......how much more for the EDGE with similar options?.......tried to find a local person to buy EDGE from and have it installed, no luck.....could buy online, but no one to install it

I agree the edge would be significantly more expensive with all the options. Talk to the folks at 4wheel parts and see what it would cost for a superlift or fabtech instead of the pro comp. I can't even afford to pay attention right now, but I don't think it would be a substantial increase in price for one of the above mentioned lifts.

Clavos..... You think the superlift or fabtech is better then the ProComp one.....do you know why or the differences between them by chance? Sorry this is all so new to me!

I thought you were getting a free lift or something. What happened with that?
by the way, did you call some of the smaller shops, like Fort Collins 4x4, or Johns 4x4 center, etc. to see if any of them might be able to install it?

The most important thing to look for is the number of leafs in the spring pack. A larger quantity of thin leafs will ride better than fewer thicker leafs. Also make sure that the system comes with new springs in the back instead of blocks. In my opinion, if you are going to modify a $40,000 truck, don't skimp with the parts. Especially as heavy as the trucks are, and with your recent accident, you want the best you can get. I feel that procomp has decent products, but they can't possibly have the kind of quality control and engineering advantages as companies that make fewer kits and for a smaller spectrum of vehicles. I don't want to talk you out of the procomp if thats what you want, I'm just giving my opinion and some ideas to stew over before you plunk down that kind of money.

was supposed to get a free one, but took a free wave runner instead ( for sale by the way)
Clavos, appreciate all your opinions and thoughts, that is what I was looking for.

What are the details of the wave runner? A friend at school is looking for one.
