Received good news last night from car insurance company (USAA). They sent a letter saying the rates in my area are going down. You don't see that to often in today's world, with companies lowering rates or charges.

More good news from USAA. They sent a second letter saying interest rates on my credit card were dropping over 4% down to 7.9. Now I need to go buy something.

Jeff, how is it that you're special enough to use USAA??? Thats what Tara and I have too... From what they tell me you've got to be related to someone to get in basically...

My dad was in the Marines for 22 yrs, so he got my sister and I both started with them before we were 18. Same thing with my Navy Federal Credit Union accounts.

Nifty... Thats pretty much how we're in... Tara's dad just retired from the FBI, so all of the kids have been covered by USAA, which makes us elegible forever now!!! Woo Hoo..

Besides having competitive prices, their serivce is excellent and fast. About 10 years ago, we were in northern Minnesota for week of vacation during Christmas. I hit a deer with my mom's new Grand Cherokee. The front bumper, passenger headlamp and fender, grill, and hood had to be replaced. We called USAA, they had the parts flown up from a Jeep dealer in Minneapolis to the local body shop and the Jeep was fixed before we came home.
