The crappy 'don't use um' list. Heres what happened.
I wanted to buy running boards for the Explorer since the tires are on their way (Hi-tech retread 33" :) )and most everyone in my family are midgets including me.
I do a little research, find the best price I can find and decide on Runningboard warehouse.com. To avoid any problems, instead of ordering online, I call my order in using the phone number on the website. (just like I did with the carpet and tires.) This was on wednesday and I spoke to a really nice guy who informed me that my first choice wouldn't fit on my car. We pick out an alternative set, he takes my order, gives me a confirmation number, says they are in stock and will be on their way in the morning and I'm happy.
So thursday afternoon (yesterday) I check my email and I have two from them, one saying my order has been cancelled, but not giving an explanation why and another saying they have credited my card back, but again not saying why. So I call the same number I called to order and am told that they only take orders and for any kind of questions, information or complaints I have to reply to the email I got.
So I do. I write an email asking why the order was cancelled and why no one contacted me to give me a chance to order a different style or discuss any problem they had before cancelling my order. I left two email addresses and my cell phone number.
I've gotten no response.
So... I ordered a set from Stylinconcepts and they are on their way. (hopefully)
Why did I write this? Well, to whine and complain, of course. But I honestly think this is bad customer service. The guy was putting the order in to the computer as I was talking to him. If the parts weren't available he shouldn't have taken the order or informed me that they were not available. If a mistake waws made, fine, I understand, but I feel I should have at least gotten an explanation for why my order wasn't filled. Especially since refunding the card means that my money is tied up in credit-limbo for five days or more. By just cancelling the order, they not only pissed me off and tied up my money, but cost themselves a sale as well.
So thats my complaint and why they made my list.
