The Forest Service is wondering if we will be interested in doing the saxon adoption again this year. So, who would be interested in helping out 2-3 times this summer?

I'm interested. I will say my summer schedule is looking busy already and it's not even May.

Well we will see if a bunch of people step in... if not it may be best to not do it this year... I'll probably still head up at least once because its a trail that I like but if the group isn't behind it, I don't want to be the only one up there doing maintenance, LOL.

I'd be up for it but like jeff, my summer is already going to be extremely busy.

I'll tell you what Saxon Mt. is? It's my living hell that will never go away. I'm constantly reminded of it daily, because of some dumb bastard I work with and other people I sometimes hang out with will not let it die.

Screw all of you. :D

I'm down..............as I said before. And now that I know the area we're talking about, my wife will be happy to help when we can.............

well we will see if anyone else steps up... not saying I don't appreciate the help but for a club to adopt a trail there really needs to be more than 2 or 3 people saying they can help, because I've learned to go with the 70% rule... 70% of people that say they will do something, do something... so if 3 people say they'll do something, at least one of those people won't show up for some reason or another. LOL.
Anyone else want to help out?

Hey, you guys don't know me yet, but i've been following your board for a while trying to decide what group to go with. I definantly want to get involved with saxon mtn. and I just switched my schedule at work so I could have weekends off.

sounds like we've got some decent interest! It's a great trail.
As far as the first run... I know sometimes in May it has still been blocked by snow. I'd say sometime in June...
Just looking ahead, how about June 3rd or 4th? I know the Chinamans thing is June 9th so trying to stay clear of that, but have moving and memorial day bbq the weekends before.
Who could make it either June 3rd or 4th? 4th is my birthday, but that doesn't mean much I won't be having a party anyways... :)

I would be willing to come and help again depending on the date, my kids had a blast for the most part last year. Hopefully this time my battery won't fall over and try to catch my wiring on fire like last time. LOL Speaking of which, I still need to buy a battery tie down... LOL

I suppose. The weekend before is memorial day bbq, the weekend before that is moving day... weekend after chinamans run will be halfway through the wheeling season LOL.
