So, what's everyone's favorite events to watch? I like the downhill skiing and bobsledding.

One of my favorite athletes Apollo Ohno who does short track speed skating just jacked his chances on the 1500m in the qualifying round. He was in second place; tried to take first and biffed it. Grrr.

We blew some big chances to medal today in a couple of sports we were expected to at least medal in, if not win. There was Apollo Ohno's mistake in the short track, and then both of the top U.S. downhill skiers finished out of the medals.

I really don't even watch the olympics. But when I do catch the womens figure skating, mmmm......

I enjoy watching skiing, luge and the speed skating. I actually don't really dislike any of the sports, but some can be a bit boring (figure skating). Hopefully the US gets it together - the first weekend of competition was ugly with injuries and crashes. :(

In other news - for a video snob like me - NBC is "cheating." While all of the games thus far have been in the 16x9 (widescreen) aspect ratio, not all of the video quality is equal. Some of it hasn't been in "true" HD at all. Just thought I'd vent a bit... :P

Poor, poor Chris. Somethings just never work out your way!
Most of thes ports are pretty good, though the TV coverage does leave some to be desired. But thats alright, can't complain too much.

If somebody is looking for some real excitement, you missed out this morning (1am to 3:30am) on live coverage of the mens curling competition between the USA and Norway. By the way we beat the defending gold medalists. Don't worry if you missed it, this was only the first of 9 matches during the Olympics.

Curling is an odd sport. You know some folks were bored to death frozen in some northern country or weather station at the north pole or something and came up with this shit.

Did you know Baseball and Softball will not be in the 2012 summer olympics? If Baseball and Softball don't belong in the summer; Curling doesnt belong in the Winter.

Wonder why they are taking otu baseball and softball, those are always interesting to watch.
I also think basketball is funny. Last year we had the team made up of everyone from teh states, players that are like 7'+, making millions of dollars a year.. and playing against these poor countries where they probably get paid very little if anything to play, and our team got their asses handed to them SEVERAL times.

HOW DOES THIS SUPRISE YOU THAT A BUNCH OF WHINY-ASSED MILLIONAIRES MIGHT NOT BRING THEIR 'A' GAME WHEN THEY'RE PLAYING PRO-BONO? REMEMBER, THE OLYMPICS MEANS LITTLE TO THEM IN THE BIGGER PICTURE. NO BONUSES, NO ENDORSEMENT DEALS, NO OLYMPIC GROUPIES, JUST A CHEAP TRIP TO SOMEPLACE THEY WON'T BE ALLOWED TO PARTY IT UP. AND NOT EVEN ACCOMODATIONS BEFITTING THEIR 'STATUS' AND NORMAL LIFESTYLE.

I ALMOST LIKED IT BETTER WHEN PRO PLAYERS HAD NO PLACE IN THE OLYMPICS...

ROFL!!! I was thinking that as I was watching but didn't want to say anything, LOL. Which is too bad, because so many owman skiiers are really good looking women. I thought Peekaboo Street was one good looking woman. :)

Yea; it was mean to say but she scared the crap out of me. That American chic was pretty good looking. Did you hear about the Women of Curling calender? They appear nude and near nude. Now those are some good lookin women! Sorry no pics on the site but I saw em on CNBC. A++

I thought it was funny when the female snowboarder went down yesterday. She said she was not "showing off" as she cruised towards victory, but whatever, she tried some type of jump grabbing onto the board that was not necessary and wiped out. She had a commanding lead and just had to cross the line for victory. What a dumb ass.
