Yea, I see that too, I never have anything interesting enough to start a new topic, and there is nothing to reply to.

Today was definately "project day" for me and I feel pretty good with what I accomplished.
- Replaced my drivers side fender, which, easy as it may sound, actually took several hours. I had to uninstall part of the alarm, remove hte turn signal light, remove the whole wheel well and insulation and spend about half an hour "lining it up" right. Then of course had to reinstall part of the alarm and put the wheel well back in, which is much harder then taking the wheel well out :).
- Got the holes drilled in both front fenders for the new 04 f-150 emblems. This took a lot longer then you'd expect as well because the old alignment holes are one high, one low, one center, where as the new one is simply one one the left hand side, one on the right hand side, both about half-high. Kind of hard to describe but in order to get it working right, it ended up taking about two hours, but thats work that won't have to be done once everything is painted so I wont have to worry about drilling into my "new paint". Tested it out first on the "old" fender with a template I made for it, and then applied it to both "live" fenders.
- Got the PIAA horns installed that have been sitting in my basement for literally a year. Haven't tested them out yet, but will soon :). It felt good to be playing with wiring and connectors again, it'd been a while! Figured now was a great time to get it done, since my front bumper and grill and airdam and grill shell etc. are all stripped.
So now, to add to the white trash look you saw in the primer shots, I now have a black front left fender! LOL.
The only project left before dropping it off at the paint shop is the windshield wiper fluid squirters, which I expect to get fixed hopefully Monday or Wednesday. I would have done it today but I have to get the parts at a Buick dealership and obviously they are all closed today.

You just need to put the spare tire on somewhere and hang a rebel flag from the antanae. LOL... Sounds like you have been having fun. In a little while I,m going to pick up a piece of pipe and hopefully remove my muffler and make all the neighbors really happy. At least I don't have to leave for work at 3:00 am anymore. Nothing like free mods too.

LOL yeah really... well the redneck look will bet aken care of soon hopefully!
I wouldn't say I've been having "fun" so much lately as much as I'd say I'm saving a ton of money by doing all this work myself and not paying someone else to do it... plus, when you do it yourself, you know its done and done right :).

matt i hope you invite me over to help with all these mods. i love doing anything productive to trucks. even if its little things. i still need to find a lift for my truck. im looking for 6 to 8 inches. i also have a friend that wants to get rid of these 54 inch michellin tires. they are massive. i dont think they are trail tires though. im probably going with 38 boggers. please help me find a lift.

GM, maybe next time I'm working on something big I'll invite folks over :). i kinda like to go at my own pace and if I screw something up royally, theres no one there to laugh about it :).
I'm putting a Skyjacker 6" kit in once its done getting painted. Can't wait.

I think there are a handful of members that don't have access to computers over the weekends so we don't have the normal chit chat going on. I usually use one day on the weekends to catch up on sleep like I did today. Yesterday I stopped by Cory's and he installed my new mod. Here's the new banner sticker.

Looks good on there Jeff, I finally got my truck straight piped. It sounds pretty cool, lots of turbo whistle which is what I was after. Not too loud for normal driving, but the Ricers will sure hear it over their boom boxes when I pass 'em!

Hey Jeff, how was the application of that sticker?? Any tips on applying it??
Way too busy to be posting here over the weekend. I'm lucky if I get time to walk by my computer, let alone sit down, log on, read, and reply. And now that I finally found a 2nd job, I'll be on even less.
If you really feel that left out, I'll let you come help me watch my kids next weekend.
all i did was measure from the top corners of the R and the M took a step back to see if it was even, then slaped it on. it is also helpful if you pull off the backing on the corners only to help line it up, once its even start from the left or right pull off the backing off slowley thats it or like on my bucket just eyeball it. post pics later.
