Tuesday night my truck got egged and the window shot out with a BB gun by some low life piece of $hit. :angryfire: :angry:

So, I called the police to have them take a report on it and come to find out it wasn't only my vehicle. They told me someone went on a spree and a bunch of people got the same thing I did. The police also informed me that they do have a few suspect leads but nothing hard core yet.

So, called around for a new window, cheapest I found was at Elite through my buddy's sister-in-law for $100. Still can't afford that the week after Christmas. I went to the junkyard today in Greeley and got a used window for $26 and took it to my tinter to have it tinted and that cost me $20.

I am still unhappy about it but it could be worse. I would really really really love to catch this little SOB that did it, they will wish that the police would have got them instead of me...

Sorry, needed to vent a little. Christmas was't very good either for me this year. :soapbox:

pisses me off when I hear about crap like that happening. Theres a lot of people out there that I wish knew how to respect other peoples stuff.
Also makes me wish they could be caught in the act more often. "Honest officer, he pointed a gun at me so I had to pull out my 45mm and shoot him. How was I to know he only had a pellet gun?"
I think back to some of the stupid stuff I did as a kid, but tp'ing was about the most extreme I ever did and even that doesn't really hurt anyone. I knew way better then to mess with someones stuff, guess I was raised right.

These vandals just don't have respect for anything. It is sad in a way because they usually haven't had anything nice enough to teach them the value of things. But, I'm with Matt too. reminds me of when an ex-co worker and I (and a few others) were watching TV in the break room, happened to be watching Peoples Court and it was a case where this 13-year old stole some of the neighbors jewelry. Her defense was that she would never have jewelry and she wanted it so she took it. She happened to be african american, as was one ex-co worker (not that that relates to the story but found it interesting). I remember saying "Like thats any defense. I've never had a ferrari and never will, that doesn't mean I go and steal one". and she got upset and said that it was justifyable because the girl was poor and just wanted something nice. I couldn't even talk to her for at least a few days after that I was so shocked and disappointed. It's the same thing with people that steal stereos, etc. They feel they can't afford it, someone else can, so they should take what someone else worked hard to earn and afford. It's absolute bullcrap some peoples mentality. Same thing with these thugs I think.

Well, what upsets me a little more is that I have my winter beater car parked right behind the truck and that thing is primer black and looks like crap. You think they could hit that one? No. If they would have I really wouldn't have been that pissed simply because I don't care about that car much.

My parents asked me if I pissed someone off in my truck to make them want to do that and I said no, do I drive it enough to piss someone off? I hardley ever drive it being I still need to fix/rebuild the transfer case so it sits a lot.

These last few months have been bad for crime. With the economy the way it is people are going nuts and doing all kinds of illegal stuff. Thats why I say it could have been a lot worse like they could have slashed a tire or stole the whole truck.
