So all my tie-rods and such are shot. It will cost some $300+ to fix my situation, stock set up. However I want to do a disc-brake conversion on my 75 Bronco. If I do a conversion using F150 parts, this $300+ bucks would be a waste. My brother has a 75 F150 I might be able to get the parts from, but it's full time locked hubs. I don't know if that would work. I hear the best is a 78-79 Bronco but everybody wants to sell me the whole front axel, not just what I need. My brother also has a 77 F150, but I don't like the steering set up on it.
My questions are: Does the full time four-wheel drive hubs make a difference, or can I stick with my own hubs? If I use the 76 F150, can I use a different tie-rod and drag-link set up? Does anybody have a better doner?

you should be able to replace the full timers with part timers pretty easy.

So the housing for the full time hubs should be able to house the hubs I currenly have. If the bearings are the same and they fit the same, along with the rest of the hub.... I hope it would be ligit.

I wouldn't see why they would be any different. It is mainly just the transfer case and the guts that go inside the hubs that are different. I also think that you have to change the spindles too, going from drum to disc brakes.

I need all that stuff. I was thinking it should work, even the spindles. I was just a little paranoid about the whole hub thing. I thought I should consult somebody...you know, extra confidence.
