Who would be interested in doing a pot luck? You know, everyone brings one kind of food so we have some nice meals with some variety and can avoid "camping food" for at least one meal! :). If people are interested I can start a list of who wants to bring what...
does beer count im on a liquid diet.

As long as you bring enough to share with the group... LOL.

A good point was brought up by MMPC about the pot luck. Some things might not be good "pot luck" material since we won't have true refrigeration for a while. Things like potato salad, etc. might just go bad in the few hours it takes to get there, unless Dom is going ot bring his fridge :). Also, as far as reheating things, Dom had mentioned bringing a big camp stove, but if anyone else has anything that'd be cool too... I'm going to see what I can borrow from dad.

I have a 2 burner camp stove and a single burner stove I was planning on bringing .. as long as we are not feeding an army .. the fam damily and I are planning on bringing a 'campfire fajita' (probably chicken) ... I'll probably make enough for 10 people or so ....
I think I also have a camping coffee pot etc etc
I'm still trying to figure out how to bring the kegerator ..

Yeah, it would probably be okay in a cooler full of ice, but the last thing we want is for our camp-out to turn into a puke-out!:D Hey, campfire fajitas sound GREAT!

I think you guys have forgotten one of the most important components of camping... SMORES! (Sorry Chris)
I'm willing to bring the stuff for Smores, but we may have to find our own smores sticks (ahh, back to nature)
Aw man! :( Maybe I'll just have to skip having any carbs the rest of the day and splurge for some graham crackers, LOL. They do have sugar-free chocolate and marshmallows, so I'm set there...

If Chris is going with sugar free, then he's got to stay 100 yards away from us at night. That stuff will blow through him like a freight train.
Heck my mom even will splurge when it comes to smores.
LOL, so you know about the maltitol effect? :D Naw, it doesn't affect me that way unless I have A LOT of it. You'll be safe, I promise...

That's why my mom sleeps outside and the dog sleeps with dad.

I was thinking of some things people could bring if they wanted some ideas... one idea was hot dogs and hot dog buns. They can be frozen the night before and thaw throughout the day and easily cooked either on a camping stove (Dom said hes bringing one) or just like roasting a marshmallow, pop it on a coat hang and roast it for a while). Chips, dry foods, etc. would also be a good idea.
The item I'm bringing (as mentioned above) is Smores fixin's :).
I can bring weiners and buns. :D How many people are we cooking for???
