RMFTC.COM logo ideas

Well now that we have a club, its time to start thinking about the logos! The logos should be anything that will display our club info (i.e. name and domain name) and should be something we can put on stickers, shirts, mousepads, coffee mugs, stuff like that :). I'll use this thread where people can submit a few ideas, and once they are submitted we can place a poll about it. if you have a logo you would like to have submitted and don't have a place to put it on the web, let me know and I will host it (since attaching files isn't allowed until I can determine better how much hard drive space/bandwidth this forum is gonna take!)

This came to me while I'm sitting here at work doing nothing important. How about put some snow capped mountian peaks behind your temporary logo you have in the upper left corner.

This one was kind of a doodle as well. Chris says the mountains look like a big zit and says the text ist oo "sci-fi".

I like theis one the best myself, nice and bold domain name, the mountains look a little better (though still need improvement).

Don (From Grand Junction)'s brother owns a vinyl business, so I'm hoping once we get the logo figured out for sure and everything, he can hook us up with some logo deals.

it has to be hosted somewhere else on the net and linked to here... I'm hoping to be able to make a better judgement about how much hard drive space/bandwidth the forum alone uses, and can hopefully allow uploading of avatars, images, etc. to the server if I find I will have "excess". if you need a place to host it, just email me and I'll put it up for you...

Matt, could you put the above picture and the similar one from the first page with the snow capped peaks together in the same post? Those are my two favorites and this would make it easier to compare.

For the purpose of the logo, I like the sharp edged one better myself, I think it'll just work better for stickers, etc. but thats just my thought. It also seems more "edgy" :)

I like the last one... But I'm thinking we should stick with a single color for the stickers.. Just for ease of production...

well we can use a single color for stickers, and use the design with some color for the website, potentially for shirts, etc.
But yeah the decal would probably just be solid white or one solid color regardless of what it was.

I agree, bottom one - I like the "edginess." Also, just a suggestion, but how about making the oval darker/thicker? I think it might look better for shirts, stickers, etc...

Matt - have you considered Cafe Press (http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/)? It looks like a pretty attractive idea - no money up front - plus you can put the logo on all sorts of things from water bottles to thongs (don't even think about it, Heath!). Anyway, check it out and see what you think...

I've checked cafepress but they have issues I've found from when FTW TX Chapter ran their order through, like 2XL and 3XL shirts the design looks tiny, because htey use the same screen for kids sizes as they do for adult sizes. I do like their flexibility though.

Hi everyone...my first post here. I like the "edgy" one also. Hopefully I'm not bringing up a sore subject, but what happened to the license plate design from the other website. Did those ever get made, or did the idea just kinda fade away?

Its not really a sore subject, fact was I submitted it up to the ftw staff for submission, and they never set up the store like they were supposed to. So they never got "produced"
