Congrats to Matt and - indeed - all of us! RMFTC is taking off. That's 50 members in less than 2 months! :)

It is impressive. We have only begun to spread the word with stickers and business cards.

That is great news for Matt and all he has done to build this site, along with the support of you guys!! You should see about companies sponsoring your website to make even more publicity.... :D

While we do have some companies that give us discounts on things, I want to avoid full-out sponsorship, banner ads, etc. Have you noticed how on the "other site" that on any given screen you have between 5-7 ads, not counting all the ads that appear otn he right hand side? I think that is absolutely rediculous and I want to avoid it. Hopefully sticker revenues and once we do a run of htem, shirt revenues will offset the costs of the site :).

Well hopefully those simple things will bring people to the site. Makes you anxious for the future to come in a hurry to find out how the site does after a couple years... :?:

Snowman, I don't necessarily see our "priveleges" as a way of attracting more members, more as a way to provide the members we have with a better experience. For example no one will go to adamspolishes.com, and say "oh RMFTC has a discount? I should join up!" because Adams wouldn't publish the discount, like most other businesses.
I am trying to come up with some sort of a "flier" that people can put up at places like colleges, 4x4 shops, anywhere there are bulletin boards or window space available for free advertising :).
Hirolln, don't feel too bad, you'll meet more!
Did you know (interesting bit of trivia here) that of anyone on Ford Truck World (that I know of) I have met the most members and the most chapter presidents? I have been to events in texas, georgia, florida, missouri, new mexico, california, arizona, oregon and michigan and a few places in between, and I've met presidents and members from as far away as New York and various provinces in Canada. Counting active and non-active presidents, I believe I've met approximately 40 presidents of chapters. I've gotten to where I've met so many I can hardly remember whos who, LOL! I would place my estimate of MEMBERS I've met from Colorado and other states at somewhere around 300-350.
