September 25th is Cruisin 4 a cure at the Orange County Fairgrounds in California. The show benefits prostate cancer research and the Jonsson Cancer Center. My grandfather died of prostate cancer before I even knew him, so its something I'm definately interested in supporting. in addition to that, its just a great show! Last year we had about 95 trucks, everything from lifted to lowered to extreme to stock.
I'll be there, and by then Is hould be showing off my new paint and new suspension, etc. :).
Maggie is going with too :).

I'd love to go, but unless I find a second job soon, there's no way I'd be able to get there. And I don't think I'd be able to justify taking my daughter out of school so we could go. Oh well, maybe someday she'll understand.

Sounds like a great cause and a fun time, Matt! Trips to SoCal can be a lot of fun - if you know where to go... ;)

For those who can't afford the time and/or money to go, another great way to support those living with cancer and to fund the research that will hopefully prevent it is through the Lance Armstrong Foundation. You can purchase and wear a band like this one:

to show your support. Their goal is to raise $5 million. I've been wearing mine every day and it does get noticed and encourage people to ask questions about the cause (and hopefully donate themselves). More info can be found here: www.wearyellow.com

I think cancer affects everyone in some way. My grandfather, who I consider to be one of my best friends and was a riot to hang out with even in his 70's, and gave me my nick name Walking Eagle, passed away from throat cancer in June 97

I can't go after all :(. My sister decided to get married the same weekend. Oh well, they have my money, I'll just consider it a contribution to charity...

I have to say that I'm honestly suprised that you're going to her wedding as opposed to the show...
