Last year, my first run of the truck, and new motor was a 18.95...
Swapped out the edelbrock for a Holley...and put some 33's on, and ran an 18.004
Threw my old tires on, and tuned the accelerator pump, now my fastest run is a 17.495
Runs consistant 17.52-17.58 now..
But yeah..there were a couple new f-150's there, and i am a full second faster. But those damn diesels...so easy to turn up. Theres a few im faster than now, but alot more i cant touch.
A few people who didnt know my truck was 4wd noticed it was this weekend, and thought my ET is pretty decent for a 4wd...so yeah.
I was thinking too...Iknow a few people here have vehicles other than thier trucks, ofcourse. And some people even like to go fast. I am alredy in a racing club, but Bandimere has 'Club Clash' Nights. Where people get together, and race as a club, earn points, race for trophies, etc.. Just throwing the idea out there so that if a few of you are interested in forming an RMFTC racing club...you can.
I dont know if they allow it, at Bandimere, but if they do...and there is a RMFTC club, i might race both clubs on Club Clash nights..lol

pull your front drive shaft and put it in low, you'll smoke them in the 1/8 mile but good luck after that

I did one of the Wednesday nights where anybody can take a spin down the track a couple of years ago. If I remember I was in the 19 to 20 second range with 33's and 4.10 gears. Who knows now with 35's, although I did regear again. Fun to watch, but my truck is not going to go anywhere quick.

Theres a few more of the wednesday night test n tunes this year...before the track closes...Anyone interested in meeting up at one, shootin the breeze, and runnin the trucks? I know our trucks are by no means meant for drag racing, but a night at the track is pretty fun. Plus, there will be imports there...and we can embarace some imports by our trucks running faster than some of them do....
These are the last 4 wednesday mess around nights...

All trucks and cars have to pass basic tech inspection..Mainly an overflow tank for the radiator, a battery holddown, less than 1 foot of rubber fuel line in the engine compartment...street tires, street legal, etc..

I might be interested, but like Jeff, I know mine won't be pulling anything even close to quick. When I went years ago I think my best time was 18.95 or something like that, now that I've gone up to 37" tires, and added about 500 pounds worth of stuff to the track, I'm guessing roughly 23s.
I have other cars, and love to go fast, unfortunately the fastest thing in my fleet is my wife's minivan, and I'm sure as hell not taking it to the track.
If I still had my Altima that ran high 14s, I'd be in on a racing club for sure, but until the gas prices go down, and I can fix up the Metro, I won't be racing anybody.

I always wanted an ET. Never got one. I even had the basket wired to the handelbars but always wrapped a papa smurf in a towel to ride around. The best I got was that rubber finger that lit up when you pressed it against something. Thinking back it looked less like ET's finger and more like some psychotic gynocologists torture implement. Anyway, I can search ebay and try and find a stuffed one in good condition, I guess I could strap it into one of the car seats in the back. if you ask me these tech guys are getting a little too picky about what you can and can't have in your car. I suppose all women have to have a my little pony taped to the dashboard to right? What ever happened to "run what you brung"?

I finally got a trophy in the truck....and its a 1st place trophy...Woohoo...
I dunno how it happened, but i was on it or something tonight, I won 1st place in Sportsman class. One of my friends (who races in my same club in other races) took 2nd place. It was the first time 2 people from our club ever raced eachother in a final race.
Man, it was fun
Running consistant 16.9's now..
Now to wait for the last 2 races of the year, next weekend, and see if i can do it again :P
