Our dog turns into a coward at the first sign of fireworks. She won't even go outside into the backyard unless someone goes out there with her.

yeah my dog is that way too, she doesn't like them at all! Thats ok though, she'll be spending tonight in her kennel, with the radio turned on nearby so hopefully she has something ot think about other then the loud pops and booms.
I personally don't care much for "personal" fireworks, the peopel that go around houses and apartments just lighting stuff off to hear it pop. It scares my dog, it keeps me awake, and I don't see the point in "celebrate the freedom of your country by blowing up a small portion of it" (Simpsons). LOL. But I did it when I was a kid too so I can't really blame the kids that do.

BAH HUMBUG! Oops, wrong holiday. My dog could care less. Must have something to do with being a hunting breed. :dontknow: I'm just going to hang out at the parents casa, grill some ribs, and lay low tonight. Y'all be careful out there!
