I need to order a bigger banner sometime when money allows, but this should do for now. It's basically just PVC pipe and PVC connectors, nothing fancy, but most importantly, its only about $6 in parts, and took me about 45 minutes to make. Should do great at shows, bbqs, etc. :).

When I had the banner from the "old days", that banner frame was also made out of PVC. It alays gave me trouble on windy days, because it was so light weight.

Ehh, if its PVC, you can install drain plugs on the bottom of the frame, and a fill cap on the top of it, and fill it with water on windy days to prevent it from blowing around or away,
Have any pics?
If you used the purple primer, then the good glue, i hope you had a respirator or dust shield on...the fumes from those are pretty bad...

When I did mine, I did not glue it so I could take it apart to lay flat in the truck. That was part of the problem, either the wind would blow it away or pull the frame a part.

yeah mine isn't glued together. I remember the frame blowing away one time. I was thinking at some point I may fill up some of the pipes with concrete to make them heavier, but I'm not sure that'd be enough to help. Hmm dang kinda forgot about the wind problem.
I know one thing I'll probably do is cut some "slits" in the banner, so if the wind hits its head on, it won't act as a sail, but it'll have some areas for the wind to get through.

The pedestal and ladder in my turtle tank is made out of PVC. Straight lengths of 3/4 in (I think) with tees and elbows to make a raised platform. Then I used tees and more 3/4 to make a ladder to help them climb out of the water. I sealed it with aquarium sealant of course, to keep water from seeping in the joints and getting stagnant and bad but I filled the inside if the tubes with aquarium gravel for weight. I did the same with the ladder, it made it pretty heavy. Anyway, I would suggest filling the tubes with p-gravel. Unlike cement, you can empty it out if needed. If you put adapters to fit your pvc to 6in or so pipe and made a base filled with gravel the banner could be removed from the base when not needed and you could fit a lot of weight in a frame of 6in pvc. just my two cents. Of course, there's always wire ties and dumbbell weights... but that would be too simple. Its no fun if its too easy. LOL

it would have to be a fairly permanent install, sine the tubes won't be all connected most of the time, as Jeff mentioned so I can lay it in the truck, disassemble it, etc. Water would probably seep out, as would sand. Concrete is the only thing I can think of, but you can't buy that in like half-gallon sizes, they only come in big bricks, LOL. I think my dad is doing some fence work in a few weeks, and he might be mixing some up and I'll take advantage of it when its all mixed.
