Just read this, and part of me wonders, what kind of parents put a 4-year old on an ATV and let him ride off by himself with no supervision? Don't get me wrong, I feel for the family, and I hope they find him for sure, but the idea of a kid that is barely old enough to ride a bicycle riding a motorized vehicle by himself just is a little unbelievable to me.

Absolute insanity, I hope they charge the parents. People like that should not be alowed to breed.

Something like that is hard to fathom.

wow... once again, i'm reminded of a bumper sticker i once saw.... "stupid people shouldn't breed"
it seems to fit. what kind of parent(s) would allow their child to just ride anywhere he pleases, without some sort of supervision... i'm going to stop now, for fear of offending someone....

I agree... a 4-year old can't read, can't do math, knows nothing of speed limits and safety (unless hes some genius or been REALLY well raised, which this kid obviously wasn't), and most parents wouldn't even let their 4-year old go alone on a bike ride, etc. much less on a motorized vehicle. I hope that regardless of how it turns out, the parents get charged for child endangerment and/or child neglect.

I still blame it all on secondary education! In a world where it is easier to get better education, and more people are doing so, we seem to be losing common sense.
I SAY BAN COLLEGE!!!!!

I heard they found the boys body today. A sad ending that can be blamed about 100% on poor parenting. Very sad.

Amen! Preach on brother boggler!! As I said before, I used to cycle commute. I had to stop riding past the community college because the people waiting at the light rail stop would all give me this blank deer-in-the-headlights look a I was riding towards them. I had to change routes because I was afraid one day I'd give in to temptation and smack into one of them just to see if they'd move at the last second. And these are the people who will one day be running our country! or at least managing our fast food restaurants.
About the kid. Its a tragic thing. Both that the boy died and that he had idiots for parents. I have a four and a five year old and they don't even play outside unsupervised. I may be an over-protective parent, but I think thats better than what happened with this kid.

It gets worse, next time you see a vehicle with CU alumni plates, watch their driving behavior. They are the absolute worst in the metro area. It is tragic about the little boy though.

that is just parents forcing those to go to college who really have no desire to be there.
