Gauges and a/c light problem

Tonight I picked my mother up at dialysis and my damn dash and A/C lights are not working. I spun the dial to make sure my overhead light works. As far as I can tell all other lights are working. It's a good thing my mother was present, because I've just about had it. :banghead:

Dang Jeff, that sucks! So the dials still work and everything, the lights are just out? I wonde rhow hard those are to replace...
Don't feel too bad, I'm fixing all kinds of crap in my truck, all at once, and a week or two the buick needed a $200 brake fix on just one side. The truck still needs new brakes in addition to the $1300 tranny rebuild it just got, in addition to some of the other minor fixes I'm doing ot it here and ther enot even counting the body work, LOL.

The lights are just out. I moved the dial back and forth. I guess if you want to look at the dark side that just turned bright, since Phoenix Imaging can't seem to get their shit together and send my interior pieces, half my dash is already missing.

Sounds like a blown fuse to me. I have seen aftermarket stereo's blow the dash light fuse if you have the dimmer hooked up to the stereo, don't know how but I have seen it happen.

From the sounds of it we all need to goto Saturday's or something....

I'm looking for ideas.

I checked fuses and replaced the necessary ones just in case with new ones, but the dash and a/c lights still do not work. I find it odd that both sets of lights would go out at the same time.

Next, I would start checking the wiring. Start with the grounds. It is possible that all the work you have been doing to the dash has worked some connections loose. Try a "wiggle test", with the lights on, twist and wiggle the wiring harnesses and see if the lights come on. Just a couple of ideas. Good luck.
