Just a quick reminder that July 10th we are meeting at the Georgetown lake meeting with the Forest Service to cruise up and just see what could need to be done on the trail, should be no work invovled (or minor work).
I am working on pinpointing an exact time and I will let you know once I know it! :)

I will be there, even if I have to take a fricken taxi.

Jeff, your truck will be working by then :).
My truck won't be making this event but I'm pretty sure my folks will let me use either the F-150 or the Explorer, so we should be fine. Otherwise I'll rent an explorer for the day or something, LOL.

I may split that taxi with you Jeff LOL... I'll be there one way or the other.

I've been trying to pay for brakes the last two months, but every time I turn around something else is happening to the truck. It's been killing me finacially.

Let me know what time.

I tentatively have a bachelor party to go to, but due to the high price of paintball, it looks like it may be getting moved to something that night instead. If so, I already have a sitter lined up, so I may be able to cruise on up.

lets plan on about 9:30-10 meeting at the Georgetown Lake. not sure yet what I'll be driving or if I'll be riding passenger with someone, who knows... but I'll be there :).

If anyone is interested, Cory and I 85% sure we are going to tackle Bill Moore Lake trail afterwards. It will depend on what time we finish with Saxon Mt. and that we still fill like doing it after we are done.

sounds like fun, unfortunately I'll be in either my dad or moms truck/suv if I do drive myself, so they probably wouldn't want me tackling another more difficult trail, LOL. Wish I could go with though.

Just take all of the by passes around the harder stuff and stay out of the pit. I don't think it would too bad then.

I'll be there in my dads F-150, which is a Green 97 XL with a camper top on the back. It's a stickshift. I haven't wheeled in a stick in a while, so hopefully I'll remember how! LOL.

Saturday morning, if anybody sees a fat guy hitch hiking along I 70, please offer him a ride. Make sure he has his RMFTC credentials.

For those that are going, be sure to bring a sack lunch or a cooler or something, because we typically have lunch either at the top or somewhere along the way.

I'm not going to be able to make it after all. I'm having my tires rotated at 9:00, have an 11:00 lunch, tee time is at 12:20, and the party at Gillians starts at 6:00.

Tray, worst excuse EVER! LOL j/k.

Yeah, by the time it is all over, I'm sure I'd rather be up on the mountain, but it's only once (or a few times for some), that a guy gives up his bachelorhood for a life sentence.........errr I mean a commitment.

So I feel that it is my duty to partake in the mass liquid consumption and rowdiness which always ensues when our gang gets together.

just push the brake pedal and the gas at the same time that should rotate them.

Is it 'Trail Rated'?

Too bad our trucks aren't trail rated.

The Forest Service asked who might have an empty seat or two, there will be two rangers that might need rights or if not they can drive their own vehicle, no biggie either way.
just a reminder from the forest service to please wear jeans if at all possible and some decent shoes (boots not required, but nothing like sandles or slippers or anything) as we MAY be doing some LIGHT work tomorrow. Also if you have some gloves and can bring them, bonus. I doubt we'll be doing much but you never know.

My truck is full. It acts as my closet/storage space and I don't feel like carrying everything to the basement.

Rino, we will be going there again... we are talking about going up there camping the first or second weekend in august, and we'll probably do at least one more trail run just to pick up trash, etc.
