Might be good for someone who wants to test out their painting abilities, etc. If you want it, let me know within the next few days.
FYI, the cost to get the hood repaired by one of the dentless repair places is just under the cost of a new hood, so I wouldn't buy it if you are planning to get a bargain on a new hood :). It is completely dimpled.
I'd like to take a shot at it. I've been actually looking for a cheapo to try out a few other possibilities, and this would be perfect.

can you come get it at some point? I'll keep it at my parents house for a while but I won't have a good way of getting it over there. I'll probably be taking it off on Wednesday.
Where do your parents live?
Well, since you aren't taking it off until Wednesday, I won't be able to pick it up this week. I am going out of town until the 6th. But I could do it just about any day once I'm back.
I understand if they want it out of there, so if it can't wait until then, no problem, but if it can, just let me know.

no worries, they'll hold on to it. They've got a lot of garage space and currently have the garage is already taken by my truck stuff, LOL!
They live near Southwest Plaza, Bowles and Platte Canyon more specifically.
There address is:
4476 W Ponds Dr.
Littleton, CO 80123
I will be taking it off the same day I take the truck to the shop, so I'll probably just remove the hood, set it in the garage, and youc anc ome get it whenever you get a chance.
OK, well are there any certain times they would prefer I come by? Or times that they'd rather I not?
Just let me know when you get it off for sure, and I'll drop by once we get back from vacation.

ok, I'll let you know when you can go get it. I still have some chatting to do with the body shop to find out for sure when I can bring the truck in...

Tray, you've got first dibs on it. It might not be available til next week sometime. I am probably going to take it off this weekend and while its off, do some things like spark plugs, tightening down my headers, etc. that are really hard to do with the wheel wells/hood on there :).

it might be a bit after this weekend when it's available. I have already removed the windshield wiper squirters, but trying to figure out when the body shop will be ready for the truck. I will probably pilfer some parts off of it for the new hood in case they are needed, but I'll let you know when its available.
OK, well I'm back in town now, so just let me know when you get around to it. I'm ready any time.

ok I'll let you know. Unfortunately we're having some body fixing issues, mainly with the roof, things aren't going as smoothly as anticipated (I'm having a co-worker fix most of the dents, and the roof is almost unrepairable, ugh!) so it might be a bit before the truck is back in my possession...
Maybe you need to go with a phantom top then.

Tray, the hood is ready to come off. Only issue is I need another person to help take it off. So whenever you want, let me know and you can come over, we can take it off together and you can take it home. I was close to replacing the fender today, but was too freakin sore from working on the spark plugs so decided to do it another day.
What do you have going in the early days next week?
