Okay, I know this is a truck club and all - and most of you aren't into cycling very much. That said, if you've ever wanted to see an incredible athlete at the top of his game - just before he retires - you've got to check out the Tour de France!

Lance Armstrong is an athletic marvel, that's all there is to it. This week begins the mountain stages - with upwards of 12% grades for a lot of it! This morning Lance KILLED most of his opponents gaining one or more minutes in overall time over them; and the race still has almost 2 weeks to go!

Sorry, just had to share. If you're interested in watching, OLN (http://www.olntv.com/tdf) broadcasts live each morning from 6:30 - 9:30am and then repeats the race several times throughout the day. A primetime highlights show with analysis and interviews runs each evening around 6pm as well.

GO LANCE!

I've been kind of keeping up with it but haven't watched much. Do you get bicycling magazine? It seems like last year it was all-lance-all-the-time. Now on his last tour they did a few articles but seem to have focused more on the other competitors. The tour should have handicapping like in drag racing. Like put Lance on a 56 Schwinn single speed beach crusier. That way the french riders can keep up with him.

If Lance killed most of his opponents, wouldn't he win by default?
And wouldn't that technically be murder, as well as bad sportsmanship?

Even if I was into biking, what fun is it if the same guy wins every year

To see how he does it (assuming he does - a lot can happen in 20-some days of racing). There's so much more at work than just riding a bike - strategy, psychology, evaluation of the opponent(s) to know when they're weak and then execution of a plan - to name a few. Just looking at things like stamina, aerobic capacity, muscle strength and power - Lance is one of the most amazing athletes of our time. Add to that his work ethic, battle with and survival of multiple cancers and the philanthropic work he conitnues to do and that makes me a fan...

I want to see him win it... I think it would be cool for him... First man to win 7 years in a row... Then he's retiring, so someone else can win next year...

I got into riding because of this race. I used to watch Greg Lemond just win everything he could back in the day. Now its MAJOR.

I don't really watch much TV anymore though, no real time for it. LOL So i just read or hear about he is doing.

Yellow Jersey, and Polka-doted Jerseys are good... :D
