Hey guys, I know a lot of people were planning on helping out on July 3rd, and I really appreciate it, but I'm going to have to delay it for a little while. We ran into a "slight" issue in that the shop that is doing the paint work only has a 7' door, and even with the lights off and stock sized tires, it will not fit if the lift is on. The truck will be entering the "body shop" next week, slightly ahead of schedule, so we can start pulling things apart, figuring out if insurance owes me more money fo the hail damage, etc..
He's also presented me with the option of taking the suspension components (at least the big parts, not like leaf springs, etc.) and getting them powdercoated and doing something with flames on them as well, for a bit more "showiness" for not much additional price and obviously it'd be much easier to get that done first.
So my proposal is that we do something instead. My truck will be in the shop, but he would let us come in and work on it peopel wanted to (I think), or we could have a BBQ/Pool Party somewhere (my place, Dom's place, whatever) or about anything else, I'm open for suggestions.
Again, I feel real bad about this, and hopefully everyone will still want to help when it comes time to install the lift, after the paintwork is done.
