Everythign is very tentative at this point, but there is a small chance, that my truck will be shown at the SEMA show this year. I've been trying for years, and I think I may have finally found a company that will "sell" me the privalege of a "parking spot" at the SEMA show, not in any particular booth but int he general vehicles area... which would be awesome... not counting my eggs til they're hatched though... :).

eww... LOL. Actually one of the companies that I've worked with in the past is a rather small company but they have a booth at SEMA each year... well SEMA allows each company that has a booth to put a vehicle on display outside their booth for a certain cost, but they've never done it, they didn't even know you could really... everyone else typically has their spot "reserved" either by their company vehicle or a customers vehicle months if not years in advance. But they haven't done it but they were interested in doing it, so we will see... which would be awesome, cause I could stick a big ol rmftc.com sticker on it and the pictures of it would be all over the net within a few days of the show... :).

HEY MATT,
AREN'T YOU CONCERNED THAT (IF THIS PANS OUT) THERE COULD BE NUMEROUS FTW MEMBERS/OWNERS AT SEMA? I KNOW YOU WERE PLAYING 'UNDERCOVER BROTHER WITH THE RMFTC FROM AN FTW STANDPOINT. IF YOU SHOW YOUR TRUCK (AS YOU PUT IT) WITH "a big ol rmftc.com sticker on it", I IMAGINE THAT FTW ATTENDEES JUST MIGHT NOTICE...
BETWEEN THAT AND THE GLARE FROM YOUR 24 CARET, DIAMOND ENCRUSTED KNEEPADS AND MATCHING CODPIECE, THE FTW CONTIGENT MIGHT NOT BE EXACTLY SUPPORTIVE, IF YOU KNOWWHATIMEAN... JEALOUSY, THAT'S IT... PURE JEALOUSY...

LOL I thought of that, but honestly, I'm getting so upset with some of the folks over there, they could get upset and ban me the day of the show and I wouldn't really be happy, but I wouldn't be pissed off either.

Well, Matt showed me his golden kneepads as well as the purple triangle shaped pillow that he puts down to kneel on, but I didn't think I should share that with everyone...
Oh and I'm with Matt... So what if they find out... We're not any competition for them... This is a small regional board... Not something that Matt even has in mind to ever compete against FTW...

HEY, DON'T GET ME WRONG, I AGREE. I'M JUST STATING THE OBVIOUS. HAVEN'T REALLY HUNG OVER AT FTW MUCH FOR A WHILE NOW (HAD OTHER THINGS LIKE WORK AND FAMILY KEEPING ME BUSY, GO FIGURE!).
KINDA GETTING HARD FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND SOME OF THOSE ATTITUDES. BEGINNING TO BE A LOT OF BREAST-BEATING AND PERSONAL CRUSADERS, AS WELL AS THE EVER PRESENT 'SHOULDER CHIPS'...
MIGHT BE INTERESTING TO FOLLOW UP ON THOUGH... :pottytrain4:

Don, thats one of the reasons I'm no longer a staff member there. Couldn't stand the way it was heading, and I disagreed with their decisions constantly, they got sick of me not being a "yes" man, and there you go...
Matt, you must be on a mission lately.
Yelling at the people you work with, rebelling against FTW.
While you're at it, can you come beat up the kid who lives across the street from me?

When the heck is SEMA? I know it's in November. By any chance is it after the election.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone that wants to go to the SEMA show is welcome to go under the RMFTC.COM name. You do need business cards to enter the show though, some of you are already set there (or will be once you get the cards that are sitting on my shelf right now). The SEMA show is the first week of November, November 2nd-5th. So nope, not after the election. It's Tuesday-Friday. If my truck is on display I will probably have to get out there by Sunday before to get the truck set up and spend days detailing it for the show, LOL.
I've gone to the SEMA show the last three years, and its always a load of fun. If you go there just to look at cars, you probably won't have a ton of fun though because while there is a lot of great cars to look at, the real purpose of the SEMA show is business. A lot of the companies I've worked with in the past I've met at SEMA and its also great because you have any product feedback to give (for example one year I went and yelled at the superlift people about the radius arms on the explorers) you can actually talk to some of the really important people at the company, not some techie but like the vp or president of the company. It works out pretty good :).

Like I said, I would be very interested in going...
I would be willing to split the costs with you this or whatever it is that you have planned. I would help you detail the truck too!
