Small rust colored spots on my truck

When I was washing my truck the other day, I noticed that there are a bunch of very small rust colored dots all over my truck. I am thinking that they are maybe from tree sap, but I'm not sure. I tried taking the buffer to it with some wax, but this only got rid of a few of the spots. Anyone have any other ideas on what they might be, and what might get rid of them?

Don't know what they are, but I'd try using a clay bar and see if that gets them off.

I'll try that, anyone else have any ideas? Maybe someone that's going on the Saxon run can look at them and see what you think they are.

Last time someone asked me to look at something on thier truck, it was on thier door, and they threw the door open while i was down looking at it...You just reminded me of that...but, i donthave any idea what they might be without seeing them, sorry. If youre at saxon, ill look there, and still probobally not know. Any chance theyre just small chips from gravel and sand off the highways?
