Tonight I picked my mom up from dialysis and to make sure she is ready to go, they have her stand upright for about a minute. This checks to make sure her blood pressure has not fallen to low. I happen to be standing about 10 feet directly in front of her and come up with a thought. Remember she is unstable and uses a walker to get around. I think to myself, if I start to lean to one side will she try to lean in the in the same direction thinking she is falling. I slowly leaned to the right and she gets the puzzled look on her face and starts to lean so she is lined up with me. She lost her balance and thankfully fell in the recliner behind her. She asked me what I was doing, and of course told her I was stretching.
