OK, I'm filling out the paperwork to adopt the trail again this year, and I just want to get a quick vote of how many people are still interested in this, and willing to help this year. Personally I'd like to go up more times this year then we did last year (which was the forest service minimum of 2) but I just want to avoid a situation where we sign up to monitor the trail and then no one wants to go up, the club looks bad, yada yada.

I could go help if its on a weekend. Whats involved in trail maintenance? Is the trail too hard for a nubie in a stock EX?

It's a trail I'd be willing to take my truck on, if that tells you anything... LOL. It's not super easy, but not its not terribly challenging either. Dom made it in 2-wheel drive.
There isn't a whole lot required for trail maintenance... mainly pick up trash, report any signs that are missing and help install new signs when forest service allows us/needs us to. Anything much more in-depth, we would either help the FOrest Service do, or they would do it on their own after we alerted them of the problem.

Wow! it must be a REALLY easy trail if you can get the tow vehicle and the truck on the trailer up there. Sorry, couldn't resist. Count me in, I'll bring trash bags.

Ahh, I was just thinking of last year when you all went for the camping trip, i thought you all went the Idaho Springs way...The georgetown side is more fun anyways, plus, isnt that where we get to throw a cllub sign, if we its adopted again?

I'm in if the schedule works out.

John, I need to talk to them about sign location. The problem is most of the switchbacks are on county land, not forest service land, so technically we can't put up a sign until further on into the trail that says we have adopted it... yada yada.
Thanks for the support everyone, I'll go ahead and fill out the application and get it sent in.
