I don't seem to have anything on my calender that day, maybe I can make it. Who am I kidding, I don't have a calender and that's why I'm always scheduled to be at two or three places at the same time.

I really doubt the truck will be ready, but I'm sure I'll be there as a spectator again if nothing else.

I haven't missed a truck fest in 3 years and I don't plan on missing one either! This is a religious holiday for me!

Would we be all grouped together? I might be able to go, but only if I have enough money to get there. lol

All of you that can, please try to make it out.
Be sure and stop by the Colorado Power Stroke Club booth and say hi!

ahhjaws, whether everyone gets grouped together or not really depends on how many others are there, and whether you can try to coordinate when you arrive. They don't "reserve" parking or anything, so if someone can get their early and try to set aside a few spots, that'd be awesome.
Shay it was good seeing you folks at All Ford Day, hopefully you'll have just as good of a turnout for truckfest! :).

There may be a slight (and I mean slight) chance the truck will be done by truckfest... that may not include the lift, etc. but the hood and body work and paint work w/flames COULD be done by then.

In this topsy turvey world, who knows when things will get fixed. LOL. Right now we're trying to salvage my roof. As you can imagine, replacing a roof would be an absolutely nightmare.

In the past we have met across the street on the shoulder from the Conoco (I think) at the Morrison exit. It's worked pretty good.

That's pretty steep, I may have to do the spectator thing. We'll see what the finances look like when it gets a little closer.

hopefully my truck will be in the shop. if not maybe I'll bring it and make a sign for "bad timing for Truckfest show... not quite ready yet!" or something like that. I'll be there either way though. The Ford show was fun just hanging out with Dom and Jen, so hopefully we'll have a good showing this time :).

Well I'm going with Fort Collins 4x4, so I don't know if the vendor ticket allows you to show your truck or not, but look for it anyways.
And yeah, I can post club happenings at our store for you Matt.

Oh yeah, I ended up getting a "lanyard" sunburn line. My neck got really burned, except for the 5/8"-3/4" the lanyard was sitting on, LOL.
my arms and face got it too :(
Walking Eagle

It was ok this year. There were a lot of trucks racing, but I don't think there were as many on display as before. I burned my right arm pretty good, and I can feel it on left arm and face a little.

I also think Burg was there with his truck. I swear I saw him twice, but then he would disappear.

This was my first truck fest, and first time racing, so i enjoyed it a hell of alot. finished putting my motor in on friday, slapped a carb on it, and ran it. What a way to break in an engine. Just was a shame to see the maroon early 70's ford truck loose its wheel and go into the wall. Now im off to contemplate building something faster, and where i should start on tuning my carb. BTW for anyone who was there, i was the " mlticolored" primer with spots 79 250..i red lit in the first round.. :x , but it was a blast.

Who complained? Do I need to open a can of RMFTC whoop-ass? LOL.
screw 'em i still enjoyed myself and i will go back next year but the truck will get a face lift.

We know we don't have "show" trucks, but we heard a few comments from Bandimere staff and people looking for spots to park.

I can have some pics up shortly. I got pretty burned too though. Someone actually offered to buy my Explorer. lol
I just wished there were more show type trucks, and have them grouped together better. They seems to be all over the place.
As a shop, we thought it went well. Next year we need to hire a model to pass out fliers to compete with 4 Wheel Parts. lol

In choosing your model I'd like you to consider the sexy one on the right...

By any chance did anyone see the Dodge van? It did the 1/4 mile a little over 100 mph. When the light turned green, he punched the gas and his font wheels came off the ground a little. It was pretty cool.
Man I really could have gone without that this morning.
too damn disturbing matt.

07-27-2004, 03:23 PM
LOL, that pic...i forgot where you all were set up at, i couldnt remember for the life of me...thats just my memory these days, i think  That dodge van was one of the guys in our racing group, poor boy racing, were all out of Clear Creek County. That van has a mild built mopar 440 in it, not too bad to see a 12 second shaggin wagon ehhh? The guy who owns it is named cole..He is a pretty cool guy, there was about 9 of us down there in our group, including the infamous number 55...The kid tried 3 times to spray off his truck, but bandimere water pressure...you know...It was a shame that my stepdad broke out in the old yellow ford bus in the first round, and my friend in the purple chopped ford pickup broke a rocker stud in the semi final round of the 2x4 class...next year it will be fun, and ill definently stop by then, my truck should be painted by then too though

please matt when we go camping dont do that and god no banjo's :laughing2:
