Once again, I apologize greatly for the site being up/down over the last few days. it seems the site has been going down more and more lately, and that is completely unacceptable to you as well as to me.
As a result, I've found a web hosting company that I will eventually be switching things over to. I have been promised 99.9% uptime guarantee, which will be really nice compared to what I am getting now. It will cost a bit more, but thats just the way it works. It should also be a bit quicker
Just as a word of caution, this move may not take place for a few weeks. When the change occurs, the forums will probably be off-line for several hours if not days. Some of the other features (photo gallery, etc.) may not work for a while after that.
The other complication with this is that currently we have a few members using @rmftc.com addresses, and while they will work, certain emails could be lost in the transition as we will be switching completely from one host to another, and all settings, locations, etc. will change. Hopefully this change will take place rapidly, but I cannot make any guarantees.

For many "larger" sites that have a dedicated server, etc. moving machines isn't this much of an ordeal, they just take from one, setup on the other, but when you are changing hosting companies as well, each with different capabilities, etc. everything pretty much has to be restored or configured from scratch.

You gotta do what you gotta do. My goodness! You are on the ball.

Kudos to you Matt

They did (I lost count) several changes on TRS last year & it was no biggie. A little bit of down time shouldn't bother anyone. Will we have to re-register? If so, no biggie again. I have the link to the Chinamans run on several other sites so when it's all said & done, I'll go back on those sites & change the link to the new one if it'll be required.........Again, no biggie.

Thanks for ALL of your hard work & effort. I appreciate it.

I was having problems again this morning at home around 7:15. It is working now at work. I don't know if it's the site or my home computer.

Hypothetically, we will not notice anymore downtime. We ar enow on a host that guarantees 99.9% uptime. Still working on getting some of the applications going, but forums should be completely operational now.

Yeah... forums are working, as are member profils, and many of the other standard pages on RMFTC. The only thing I'm still having complications with is the other programs that use databases that I am having a hard time switching over to... like the photo gallery, the online store, etc. I'll get it all going though in time :).

FYI, Photo Galleries are now working. Which leaves the calendar and the online store to get up, and we will be set! :)

Jeff said the same thing. Like I'd ban some of the most active/favorite members LOL.
