As you know, RMFTC's "primary" charity is MaxFund (www.maxfund.org). We are helping them out by volunteering as well as with some monetary help when possibly. The shirt order we are doing helped raise a fairly good amount, and then with the help of some other donations and a chunk of my own money, have decided to use that money to sponsor the MaxFund Lucky Mutt Strut. This sponsorship involves quite a bit of name exposure, from the club logo being printed on about 1000 t-shirts for all the participants, club logo/info being distributed with the "goody bags" for all the participants, as well as our banner (which I'm in the process of purchasing) on display at the start/finish line and a few other cool name recognition things, such as our name in the "press release" and any brochures that will be going out about the event as well.
This sponsorship, overall, is going to cost about $400, but like I said, a chunk of that was covered by the t-shirt sales and so forth. If you would like to help out with the costs though, please let me know, all donations are accepted!
The $400 goes directly to maxfund, with only a small portion being used for actual costs of the event, so either way we are helping out a great organization!
