so, I went and did some wheeling today, since my brother and some college friends were in town. Went to Mt. Herman in monument to play around, and anyways, we saw this Saturn going up the road, stopped for a while for pictures, and this girl comes walking up with her dog and asks for some help. automatically, I figured it was the saturn. keep in mind that in some places, there is about 2 ft left up there. by the time the girl and I(btw, the girl was hideous) got there, 2 other fords pulled up behind and were waiting. I pull out my tow strap, hook it up, and start tugging, nowhere. try again, same result. since I was behind, trying to pull them backwards, I couldn't really get a good angle to pull at. after a little bit, a nicley lifted ranger pulls around the corner up ahead, so they offer to pull from the front. hook up my strap, SNAP!!!! My 30,000 pound ProComp tow strap SNAPPED tryong to get a Saturn out of the snow!!!!!
so, we tied the strap in a knot and finally got the thing out with the tied up tow strap, a ranger, and three guys behind pushing.
long story short, I got the tow strap for free by a mistake @ 4wheel parts, but the guy gave me $40 for snapping my strap, and helping him get out.
It was pretty funny. :)
I was unable top get pictures of this event, but I have other pics I'll post up later. This was the first REAL test for the gears/limited slip.
Bring on CORE!!!!
