So today I was doing a bit of maintenance on the truck, trying to get it ready for the trip out to Georgia. I replaced the fuel filter, did an oil change, and greased my zerks for the front end. I also cleaned my air filter as it was horribly filthy.
As I Was cleaning the air filter, noticed my mass air sensor was dirty. Figured I'd do what I'd done a thousand times (ok, 2 or 3 times) and just clean it off with some electrical cleaner and a q-tip... apparently I didn't realize my own strength, because I was cleaning wiht a q-tip and heard a "ting", I had snapped one of the two wires in the Mass Air Sensor. Way to go Matt.
So now I have to buy another one. Normally I"d look for a sponsor, etc. so I could try to get it as a freebie part, but I really need this within a few days or the truck will just run like crap.
Anyone have a good mass air sensor for sale for really cheap? :) Otherwise looks like I'll be utilizing our parts discount at Phil Long, see ya later, several hundred dollars :(.

I would go ahead with the discount at Phil Long. Not the kind of part I would want to try a used one for.

Well, decided against a performance one, just got a standard one at Phil Long. Retail $155, with RMFTC Discount about $125. not too shabby. Will hopefully be able to get it put in tomorrow.
