I am leaving March 31st for Georgia, and theres a few "mods" I'd like to get done by then, that I've been holding off on for a while due to weather, lack of time, lack of effort, etc. Nothing super-major like the last day we worked on my truck and literally had to re-assemble a truck. Here's a list of what I've got that I'd like to get done:
1) Bedrug. This'll be trickier then a standard bedrug install, because I've got to take out the rollbar and the toolbox, which means disassembling part of the interior again to remove the wiring for the rollbar, and then we'll have to drill some holes in the bedrug for the rollbar to be mounted, and if they line up with the old holes that'd be much preferred, but will be a lot of work to get everything lined up I think.
2) Backup camera. The wiring on this should actually be fairly easy, it draws power from the reverse circuit, and then its just a matter of running wires and mounting the LCD somewhere.
3) Dash kit. This is if its warm enough, they recommend it be 60 degrees or over before installing, as many of the pieces have to "mold" to the dash, etc. and heat helps this.
4) Fuel filter. It's been about 45,000 miles since I last changed mine. I do have the tool. This can be a bit messy but I'll volunteer to be the guy that smells like gasoline, LOL.
5) Clean air filter. This is way overdue. Should only take a few minutes.
6) Install custom superchip. This might be done before the "mod party" I'm not sure. The connections on the computer are already clean, as I've had a superchip installed before. This is a 4-mode chip that is being custom programmed by Troyer Performance two have two modes for each tire size, 35" and 37" tires, high-performance and low-performance, all 4 modes taking into account gear change, headers, catalytic convertors, FIPK, exhaust, etc. That shouldn't take too long either.
Volunteers will of course be paid with lunch, and dinner if it runs that long. So who would be interested in helping out?
